Molly-Mae Hague has been accused of fakery once again – this time over her brand new Pretty Little Thing range.

The Love Island star was at the star-studded launch last night and spoke about how excited she was to be working with the online brand, just five weeks after leaving the Love Island villa.

But despite collecting a whopping £500,000 pay check for her line, Molly is now facing claims she had little to nothing to do with the designing side of it.

Fans who raced to the PLT website to watch the collection go live found there were several pieces in her range that looked similar – or exactly the same – as clothing that already existed on the site.

They spoke of their disappointment, with one tweeting: “Literally everything in the pretty little thing molly mae ‘collab’ was already on the website beforehand can we move on now.”

Another wrote: “If anyone who hasn’t noticed Molly Mae’s pretty little thing collection ain’t actually hers it’s there collection because most of it already exists on there site lol hate to be honest.”

Mirror Online found several items from Molly’s collection that appear in the non-branded range of the website.

Her white woven puff sleeve crop shirt, which she models on the site, costs £25 – but also comes in lime green and black elsewhere on the site.

It has already sold out just four hours after the collection went live.

Her black one-shoulder satin detail gold button blazer dress – a bargain at just £35 – can also be seen in a stone colourway elsewhere on the site.

Speaking to Mirror Online ahead of the launch, Molly-Mae said she’d worked closely with the PLT team to design her clothes.

“I’m just over the moon, I’m so excited it’s out now and I can finally be happy about it and talk about it,” she said of her deal with the retailer.

“It was hard [to keep it a secret]. It got leaked a little bit and people were guessing and stuff and for me to keep my mouth shut was so hard because I wanted to shout from the rooftops because I’m so proud.”

Molly already had an existing relationship with Pretty Little Thing thanks to her work as an Instagram influencer, and even filmed herself unboxing a ‘haul’ from the company for her YouTube channel months before going into the Love Island villa.

“I was saying to the team when I had my first meeting with them, way back when I had 15,000 followers they messaged me and I was going to Ibiza and they wanted to send me some stuff and I remember getting emotional just over them wanting to send me a few bits to go to Ibiza with,” Molly added to us.

“And now bringing out a whole collection with them, I can’t even explain what that feels like.”

A spokeserson for Pretty Little Thing said: “Molly has been fully involved in the design process of this collection and has worked extremely hard with our team of in house designers in bringing her collection to life.

“She came to us with a mood board of ideas and we sketched some new styles which are in the collection as well as making tweaks and amends to PrettyLittleThing basics. Molly will be relaunching her YouTube channel this week where she will be taking her viewers through the collection process and discussing her collaboration with PrettyLittleThing.

“8 of the items in Molly’s collection were previous best selling lines from PLT.”

Mirror Online has approached Molly-Mae’s rep for comment.
