ITV has another Sunday night hit on its hands in the shape of Jane Austen adaptation Sanditon.
The drama is based on the author’s final unfinished novel – and has been given the small screen treatment by Andrew Davies (of Pride and Prejudice fame), together with a cast which includes the likes of Kris Marshall and Anne Reid.
And it’s raised a few eyebrows so far with male nudity and furtive sex acts in the woods making an appearance in the first two instalments, as the story of Charlotte Heywood (Rose Williams) and her adventures in the titular seaside resort continue.
It’s certainly crammed plenty into those first two episodes – but how much more can we look forward to?
Here’s what you need to know…
How many episodes of Sanditon are left and what time is the series on ITV tonight?
There are six episodes remaining of Sanditon, including the one scheduled tonight.
Tonight’s episode, as in previous weeks, will air on ITV at 9pm.
The remaining five instalments are scheduled to air over the next five Sunday nights at the same time.
If you’ve missed any, you can also get yourself up to speed via the ITV Hub.
What’s going to happen in Sanditon tonight?
Expect a spot of awkwardness between Charlotte and Sidney Parker (Theo James) after she copped an eyeful of him cavorting naked on the beach – in fact she’s keen to avoid him until a serious accident forces them back together.
This week’s episode will also see Tom Parker (Marshall) making moves to bring a resident doctor to town.
Cue the arrival of Dr Fuchs (Adrian Scarborough) who brings along a new contraption to demonstrate, but things don’t quite go according to plan.
